It is a semi synthetic penicillin antibiotic with broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. Piperacillin is a penicillin broad-spectrum antibiotic. It mainly plays a bactericidal role by interfering with the synthesis of bacterial cell wall. It is mainly used for the infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and various gram-negative bacilli, but it is easy to be produced by bacteria β-Lactamase hydrolysis and drug resistance; Sulbactam has no antibacterial activity against other bacteria except Neisseria and Acinetobacter β-Lactam resistant strains produce most important antibiotics β-Lactamase has irreversible inhibition.
USES & EFFECTIVENESS
1. Produced by piperacillin and β Appendicitis (with perforation or abscess) and peritonitis caused by Escherichia coli and Bacteroides of lactamase (Bacteroides fragilis, Bacteroides ovale, Bacteroides polymorphs or Bacteroides vulgaris).
2. Produced by piperacillin and β Staphylococcus aureus induced by Staphylococcus aureus is a non complex and complex skin and soft tissue infection, including cellulitis, skin abscess, ischemic or diabetic foot infection.
3. Produced by piperacillin and β Lactamase caused by Escherichia coli postpartum endometritis or pelvic inflammatory disease.
4. Produced by piperacillin and β Community acquired pneumonia caused by Haemophilus influenzae with lactamase (moderate only).
5. Produced by piperacillin and β Moderate and severe hospital acquired pneumonia (nosocomial pneumonia) caused by Staphylococcus aureus with lactamase. Treat systemic and / or local bacterial infections caused by sensitive bacteria.
