Soluble in water.Calcium hydroxymethionine, abbreviated as MHA-Ca, is a calcium salt containing 84% HMTBA (2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutyric acid) and is mainly used as a feed additive. MHA has been used in animal husbandry since the 1950s, and MHA has proven to be a superior source of methionine for feed, livestock and pet manufacturers.
USES & EFFECTIVENESS
1. This product is a feed nutritional fortifier. In the presence of L-methionine, its function and biological titer are the same as DL Methionine. Lack of methionine in livestock and poultry will cause dysplasia, weight loss, weakening of liver and kidney function, muscle atrophy, fur deterioration and so on.
2. This product is widely used in organic synthesis, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides and so on. It can be used as catalyst, chlorinating agent, curing agent and stabilizer in organic synthesis; It can be used as raw material for the production of disperse red 343 in dye industry; In medicine, it can be used to produce oxalazine, etc; It can be used as hair color regulator for color photos; It can also be used as bactericide, etc
