OVERVIEW

    This product is white crystalline powder. Odorless, slightly bitter, slightly soluble in water and difficult to dissolve in ethanol. Soluble in dilute acid or alkali. Long time illumination is coloring. A small amount of indole is produced by CO heating with water. When heated in the presence  copper sulfate, a large amount of indole is produced. It is more stable when heated with acid in the dark, but it is very easy to decompose when it coexists with other amino acids, sugars and aldehydes. Tryptophan breaks down completely when protein is broken down by acid.
   

USES & EFFECTIVENESS

  Amino acid drugs. For amino acid infusion. It is often used with iron and vitamins, and VB6 to improve depression and prevent rough skin disease; As an insomnia sedative combined with L-dopa in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
