OVERVIEW

    α- Keto acid itself does not contain nitrogen. It can be transformed into corresponding amino acids through transamination or amination in blood, which is conducive to the reuse of urea nitrogen, so as to reduce the content of urea nitrogen in blood. In 1996, the compound was developed and listed by Fresenius kabi company of Germany α- Ketoacid tablets (Kaitong) are used to treat diseases caused by protein metabolism imbalance caused by chronic renal failure (CRF) and renal insufficiency. They can protect and alleviate renal function injury and delay the start of dialysis.

USES & EFFECTIVENESS

   This product is used as a solvent and pesticide intermediate. In the petroleum refining industry, it is widely used as an activator in the hydrodesulfurization and hydrotreating of volatile oil, petrol, paraffin, diesel and atmospheric heavy oil and the pre vulcanization of hydrocracking catalyst. In terms of pesticides, it is used to produce fenthion.
